I am pleased to announce, following the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions yesterday, that the Club has fully re-opened for all tennis activities subject to the following conditions:
- The density requirement inside the Clubhouse remains at 1 person per 4 square metres, including the upstairs balcony. This limits the tennis balcony to 7 people and the bar area to 16 people (i.e. a total of 23 people upstairs at any one time). It is very likely that these restrictions will be relaxed in a fortnight.
- Members will be required to ‘sign in’ using the new COVID-Safe Check In and the QR code contact tracing system when attending the Club. The QR code is displayed at various locations within the Clubhouse, including the northern entrances near Bowling Green A, the western ground floor entrance near the tennis pro-shop, the notice board near the storage box for court nets 1 and 2, upstairs on the door at the southern entrance to the bar, and on the northern window near the balcony door.
Guidelines on the use of the system with your mobile phone can be obtained from the SA Government Covid-19 website via the
- All players in respective Association competitions should contact their coordinators to get the latest update of competition play and any changes to schedule.
If there are any questions relating to the full re-opening of the Club, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Enjoy your tennis.
